Stymied is the nickname of a fabric synthesist in a textile plant. By several years of working there she had numerous commendations for productivity and efficiency.
Stymied hit it off with a new quality control analyst who was assigned to their production cell. They'd become good friends at facility mixers and cartel-sponsored Group Recreation Programs, without letting their relationship interfere with their jobs.
Eventually they asked their cell supervisors and department manager for authorization to share some personal recreation time together, which they took, since the supervisors knew that they don’t let their personal lives impact our task performance. However the Facility Personnel Office rejected their request.
Fustrated as to why those people who barely know they couple would think that their relationship would erode their productivity, Stymied considered requesting a re-assignment and sent a letter to Trina Jenkins's column in Topline.
